Ural Federal University offers Bachelor and Specialist degree programs in various fields of study. Each program has its own compulsory and elective courses and modules. The duration of study for the Bachelor degree is 4 years, for the Specialist degree it is 5 - 6 years. It is a comprehensive study program aimed at developing communicative competence and proficiency in Russian as a foreign language, Russian language and Russian culture. The methodological support for this program draws on the vast expertise and materials accumulated by Ural Federal University over 20 years of working with foreign students. Before enrolling in the program, you must take an entrance exam to determine your current level of Russian and to place you in the relevant study group. Classes are held in small groups of 8-15 people to maintain the balance between individual attention from the teacher and full participation in communicative activities. In order to facilitate the learning process and immerse students in the language environment, all classes are conducted entirely in Russian, with an emphasis on mastering contemporary Russian communication norms.
