The newly created department - Institute of Economics and Management - is one of the first departments at Tomsk State University to implement the program principle of educational activity management. The aim of this approach is to focus on the needs of the labor market and employers and the training of students in demand specialists, to focus on the continuous improvement and updating of educational programs. In order to improve the quality of educational programs and to respond more flexibly to changes in the labor market, educational program councils were created, which included representatives of the academic community, as well as business and public administration.
